Nice Crown Vic. I am still driving my 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis same car and I am glad I got to see this video after I watched Scotty’s video on the same subject but this video made me think of my Marquis and it reminded me that not too long ago my wipers not old at all were making noise on the Windshield being the Windshield wasn’t getting wet enough from the light rain and it happened other times so I plan to use some Nu-Finish on it very soon maybe even later today. Thanks for the tip. One question. Do you use alcohol on your Windshield to clean it first like Scotty showed? Just curious.

Hello. Great tutorial! I have an issue that I hope you can help me with. I have 2008 CVPI with manual climate control. It blows ice cold a/c but no heat when I bought it. Figured it was the BDA. Got the correct new OEM BDA and replaced it following your vid. It went pretty well, did it in about 2.5 hours. Drove it up to temp and discovered that I had a medium hot/cold temp regardless of where the temp control knob position was. Did it all again. This time I carefully opened the new BDA and set it to full heat. While I had sight of the BDA after reinstalling it, I tried adjusting the temp control knob. Nothing happened. I checked all fuses, wires, and connectors. All good. I then thought it might be a bad potentiometer in the temp control knob. So I put everything back together. Now have hot heat but no a/c. Ordered a used good condition temp control panel. Replaced it. I did hear a hiss when disconnecting the vacuum lines from the old panel. No change. Someone suggested it might be a vacuum problem. Checked lines, no leaks. Removed the black vacuum box on the firewall and rerouted the lines, as was done in a vid someone sent me. Still no change. I'm now thinking I got a bad new OEM BDA. What do you think could be happening here? Also, I followed the procedure for disarming/arming the airbag. The first time I had no airbag light. After the second time I now have the airbag light. Tried the entire procedure three times since then and checked the wires and connectors, all good. Still have the airbag light. Thoughts on this? Thanks in advance for any help.

I put 5w-30 in my 2011 police interceptor and it made my oil pressure gauge act funny. It takes a while for it to reach its normal level

Hello fellow panther platform owners i have a question, I own a 2010 crown Victoria with 314K kilometers i am the third owner and i don’t know if its good to change the transmission fluid i checked it found the color dark pink close to brown and no burn smell. So what do you think should i change it or leave it tell it breaks?

How dare you ask for a refund, replacement or a refund we wasn't going to actually give it to you but we wanted to make you believe we was how dare you make us live up to our words. Hello, my cht sensor voltage is 1.124, cht temp is 249.19°f, coolant temp 149°f, this is with car not running and cold. Any ideas?

I see you are still responding to much newer comments, I have been a nu finish user since Scotty but looking for someone who has tried mixing these two products in various ratios to see what happens. I am very curious but not seeing anyone mention this yet unless I missed it.

They fit my 2007 ford explore, the filter are very cheap. What I do is I change the oil filter motor craft, $3,94 one. Ok I change oil and filter every 4,900 5,100 and change the filter. And I change out the filter every 2,500 and add new oil. Why 😮, because it is cheap, Second, I cut them open and check them. The last reason, It is much easier for the oil to flow through a clean filter then a filter will 8,000 miles on it. The gasoline we buy is always different, so one tank of cheap quality gasoline will burn and the deposits will go in the oil. Every one talks about oil, and filters, not almost no one understands that very low quality gasoline in not good for our vehicles. Something, I can change my oil at 5,000 and it comes out clean. Other times the oil is black. Remember, I am changing the filter half way. It the gasoline, or the air going into the engine 😂. About 6 months, it depends on the mileage. 6,000 miles and it set for 6 months, bad. 600 and it set for 6 month your ok. Check the color of the oil on a white paper towel. Myself, I want to keep my cars as long as possible. Because a good used car is hard to fine. And the new the car the more things that go wrong on it. Great channel.

I got a 2005 p71 Crown vic. The transmission went out, basically started slipping between 1st and 2nd gear. Anyways the dealer installed a re-manufactured 5W7Z-7000 LRM, which is the 4R75W transmission and filled it up with Mercon LV instead of Mercon V. Additionally, on the dipstick it says Mercon V. I now have intermittent clunk noise upon braking at low speeds and sometimes while accelerating very slowly from 1st to second there would be a pretty loud clunk coming from front underneath. Otherwise the car shifts and drives fine. Could that be attributed to the incorrect fluid? Either way I'm planning to flush the incorrect fluid and fill with with the correct one. Here is the game plan: I have 5 gallons of Mercon V. What I'm planning to do is undo the transmission return line (cold line), hook it up to a hose and start the car in order for the transmission pump to pump all of the fluid out in a bucket. While that is going on, the incorrect fluid would get pumped out while gradually I will be adding 2.5 gallons or 12.5 quarts of Mercon V down the dipstick tube to push out all of the Mercon LV. Once I'm done adding all of the 12.5 of Mercon V, I will wait until the stream becomes weak at which point I would shut of the engine, attach the return line back to the transmission. At this point I'm going to have 12.5 quarts of Mercon V remaining. I will then start the car again, and as soon as I do I will begin adding the remaining 12.5 quarts of Mercon V to fill it up. The reason why I'm trying to push out 12.5 quarts of Mercon LV with the same amount of Mercon V and wait until even the remaining Mercon V gets flushed out is to leave as little of a residue of the Mercon LV as possible and having a mix of both to the minimum.

I'm so lost. So the previous owner was annoyed by an aftermarket alarm so he cut a few wires under hood he thought led to the horn. Well since then the trunk release button in middle of dash or the one on the door doesn't work. Idk what to do or how to track what wire he cut, or even if that was the cause.

Hey there first off Great Videos Very through I was wondering if You or anyone has insight on this Me and one of the brothers are working on his 03 Grand Marquis w/o EATC and Currently the Blower Motor isnt turning on The Blower Motor & Relay 301 aswell as the Speed Controller and Speed Selecter Switch were all replaced The Fuses are Intact yet the Motor still wont turn on from the switch But If we jump the Constant 12v Side of Relay 301 to the Blower Motor side It turns on and the speed can be adjusted by the switch? What could cause this? Was told the AC doesnt work but cant confirm because we cant turn air on The Position selector intermittently works we can hear the parts activate When we did jump the pins on Relay 301 and the motor came on it was stuck on defrost vents at the moment Anyone had this issue with the Manual AC Controls?

I switched to Valvoline restore and protect 5w30 my 1997 town car was burning half a quart every 3000 miles with the previous full synthetic oil. No oil consumption these past 9000 miles I change the oil every 4000 I plan on using the valvoline restore and protect for 5 oil changes then switching to penzoil ultra platinum 5w30

I guess this is specific to Motorcraft V vs LV transmission fluid? On the back of my Valvoline full synthetic Mercon LV bottle it lists under "Recommended For Use In": Ford Mercon LV, Mercon V.

On most my gm vehicles you can pull the key out just a touch and it stops the dinging. But this took 30 seconds on the Marquis so that’s awesome

Hello good sir, i come in dire need of help. I have a 2001 Town car Signature, and it only stalls when engine is hot driving it. It works just fine when it is cold. It stalls when i drive 40+mph, when i slowdown. It just turns off, does not vibrate, burb, struggle. I can turn it on immedietly and keep going forward until maybe next time I slow. But it does get harder to turn on. Ive bought car private sale, and for a month after purchace it was fine. Here is what ive done so far of 2 months of ownership Changed oil 5w30 Coolant flush with new thermometer New IAC Cleaned Mass air flow module New serpentine belt New alternator New battery I got a reciept that 1st owner did a trans rebuild I got a OBD scantool with app on phone and drove until it stalled I had a suspicion it was the alternator before. Watching the Volt gauge, it stood stable, but the app did record for a fraction of a second the lowest it went was 8v. Here is a link of the picture. ibb.co/ypMcq40 I forgot to add, there used to be code 0133, I changed o2 sensors minus driver before car, then 1504. Cleared never came back but still stalls. Few things different not sure if revenant about this car, 1st owner did spring conversion suspension and took off vapor canister.
